How long does the resume automation process take?
To create a new resume, all you need to do is fill out a career interview form with details about your clients past experience. We recommend speaking with your client in person or over the phone while filling these out. As soon as you submit the form, your client’s new resume will be instantly created and emailed over.
How do you create a resume for someone with no work experience?
For clients with very little or no work experience, it’s especially important to emphasize educational projects, certifications, personal projects and volunteer work. We recommend sharing resources with your client to encourage them to pursue a new credential or get involved with a local organization. How do you create a resume for someone with employment gaps?
There are several key strategies that we’ve found work well for clients with gaps in their work histories. Depending on how recent – and how long – the gap was, one strategy that we recommend trying to fit the gap between the first and second page of the resume, to minimize the focus on it.
Will we be able to edit the resumes that are populated?
Absolutely! The resume templates are all extremely simple to edit. We do not use text boxes or complex formats in our resumes, so it should be very easy to make changes and updates to them. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us!

Are your resumes all one page?
We generally recommend using a one-page resume for clients who have less than 10 years of experience, or less than four jobs. For those with more extensive work histories, it’s perfectly OK for a resume to span up to two pages. The resumes created by RS Works often span more than one page, but you can easily trim the content down to one page if your and your client prefer it.
